    Justification

    (Civil Division). Award to crew member of T/S ALASKA for contribution "to rescuing survivors of a torpedoed ship and saving their own ship after being torpedoed". T/S ALASKA was "torpedoed and damaged by U-510 in the North Atlantic 30. October 1942".
