  Sjømannen vitnet ved sjøforklaring holdt for Det Kgl. Norske Konsulat i Plymouth den 22. februar 1917, etter at DS JUNO ble senket av en tysk ubåt den 18. februar 1917. Skipet var på reise fra New York til Havre, Frankrike med stykkgods.
